Easywasy can organise your journey on the Dava Way and Moray Coastal Trail. The Dava Way is a 25ml(40km) walk mostly following the route of the dismantled Highland Railway between Grantown-on-Spey and Forres. It is a journey through woodland and across moorland with panoramic views of the shire counties of Nairn, Inverness, Moray and Aberdeen.
From Forres continue to Findhorn from where the Moray Coastal Trail follows the coast by Burghead, Hopeman, Lossiemouth, Buckie to Cullen.
With its marvellous landscapes from rugged cliffs, caves and sheltered coves to fishertown harbours and sweeping stretches of sandy beaches, Moray has a coastline alive with wildlife that would be the envy of many other regions in Britain.
This walk is generally flat and suitable
for all the family but, there are a few short steep sections on the coast: combine it with the Speyside Way and you can be back at Grantown or Aviemore.
Accommodation
The walk can
offer b&bs, inns, guest houses and hotels. However,
it should be noted that not all types are available at every stage.
You will see from our guidelines on the PRICES and BOOKINGS Page
that we have banded the different types of accommodation. This provides
an indication of what you are likely to pay.
