The Great
Glen Way
| Route Options | Route Map | Gallery | Prices & Booking | From Scotland’s highest peak, Ben Nevis at Fort William, the walk takes you along the tree lined towpaths of the Caledonian Canal and passes by the beautiful lochs of Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and Loch Ness. The trek makes its way through various forest tracks and then over Ness Islands and on to its finishing point at the Inverness Castle. The Great Glen Way can offer youth Hostels, b&bs, inns, guest houses and hotels. However, it should be noted that not all types are available at every stage. You
will see from our guidelines on Accommodation
Prices that we have divided the different types of accommodation
into bands. This is to give you an indication of what you are likely
to pay. However, you can choose mixture of types, eg a Youth Hostel
one evening and a hotel the next. It is designed to be totally flexible
and to suit each client's individual needs. All subject to availability
of course!
