Easyways is pleased to offer seven long distance walks in Scotland:
Waymarking Terrain The Great Glen Way is a mixture of terrain with easy walking along canal towpaths, together with beautiful walking by the lochside and then forest climbs towards the end of the walk. The St Cuthbert's Way is still a serious long distance walk but the rolling Border countryside and the rounded Cheviot Hills provides a most enjoyable and satisfying walk. The Rob Roy Way, linked with the legendary Scottish outlaw, is a picturesque walk with varied terrain and scenery. The Speyside Way is a pleasant walk mostly easy and well signposted. Including the optional Tomintoul Spur adds more of a challenge in an area of great scenic beauty. The highest recommendation for all walkers must be a good strong pair of "well worn in" walking boots! Back-pack Carrying Services The tried and tested baggage transfer companies who provide this service on our behalf are:
All of the walks except the West Highland Way operate on a door to door basis and are able to do so based on the relatively low amount of walkers (so far!). However, due to the high amount of accommodation establishments on the West Highland Way, Travel-lite have developed a system of carefully chosen depots sited conveniently at all of the main locations throughout the route with the exception of Inversnaid (due to its geographical inaccessibility by road). It is important to note, however, that Travel-lite and
Easyways have been working in partnership for over ten years now and
the result is that Easyway's clients benefit
from door to door transfers at the majority
of the stages of your walk. This has been possible through the establishment
of close relationships with both Travel-lite and the accommodation providers
alike. |
