Easyways will arrange your walk on the Rob Roy Way. It starts from the picturesque
village of Drymen, just outside Glasgow, and finishes in the bustling
tourist town of Pitlochry in Perthshire. As its name suggests, it
follows through many places linked with Rob Roy MacGregor, the legendary
Scottish outlaw of the early 1700s.
This beautiful and historic route 79 miles (126 km) long ,
takes walkers through many woodland paths, passing by the lovely
waters of Loch Venachar, Loch Lubnaig, Loch Earn and Loch Tay. (It
should be noted that the Rob Roy Way is not signposted but the Way
is easy to follow if you purchase the excellent Rucksack Reader Guide available on request from Easyways). There are also around 19
miles of road walking, but not all at once. It is split between
the various stages. These roads are quiet and picturesque and the
scenery, standard of accommodation and hospitality more than makes
up for it.
