Views from the hills over Loch Ness!

The views you will experience during your time walking from Fort Augustus and Drumnadrochit are priceless. Not only will you be able to look out over Loch Ness which go on for miles, you will be able to see Fort Augustus, and potentially on a clear day, the Caledonian Canal.

2. Adventure

With an ascent, there is always a descent!

Taking the high route will give an added sense of adventure to your time walking! The terrain is a mix of tracks and smaller paths/roads, they can be narrow but for the most part, are well maintained. The steeper ascents might be harder work but think of the all you can see as a reward – it will give you a true experience of the highlands.

3. Nature

It does not matter which one of our many walks you choose – the West Highland Way or the Kintyre Way are some of our favourites –  if you’re in Scotland you are likely to come across hills. If you want the best views, take the high route! We are dedicated to making sure our walkers have the latest in walking advice and news, keep updated and make sure to check out our last blog post.
