Are you looking to walk the West Highland Way? The West Highland Way Trail is Scotland’s premier walking route linking the Central Lowlands with the Highlands on a spectacular journey through farmland, beside lochs, across moors, through glens and over mountains. The Way begins about 12 miles from Glasgow Airport, at Milngavie, on the outskirts of Scotland’s largest city. You will pass through Mugdock Country Park, follow the shores of Loch Lomond, past Ben Lomond, through Glen Falloch and Strathfillan, cross Rannoch Moor, past Buachaille Etive Mor to the head of Glencoe, climb the Devil’s Staircase, descend to Loch Leven before entering Lairigmor and Glen Nevis and finish at Gordon Square in Fort William. To walk the West Highland Way is an experience like no other.

West Highland Way Holidays – Walking The Spectacular Route With Easyways

The West Highland Way (WHW) was Scotland’s first long distance route and remains by far the most popular for many reasons. Stretching for 151km from Milngavie to Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis, the route offers a fabulous introduction to the Scottish Highlands and native wildlife.

West Highland Way ‘SUMMITER’

Why not add a few extra nights to your journey and take the time to summit a Munro along your way? Find out how to combine your walk with Girls On Hills’ Summiter options on our West Highland Way Ultra page. Or, to push yourself to the limit, check out our ultra running package!

What Our Travellers Say

We want to thank you for finding us such nice B&Bs. We wouldn’t have found them ourselves. The bag transfer and taxi services were very helpful and spared us a headache. We will definitely use your services for our next Walk in Scotland.
