Ben Lui is regarded as one of the grandest and most elegant mountains of the Southern Highlands. This dominating and popular mountain is the highest of the so-called ‘Crianlarich hills’. There is no higher land in the British Isles south of this top and so the views are impressive – 9km (6miles) and 1060m ascent from Benmore Farm/A85
The ‘Great Herdsman of Glen Etive’ is one of the most iconic mountains in Scotland. Renowned for its impressive steep ridges and fantastic scenery overlooking Glencoe and Rannoch Moor, the route is 7km (4.5miles) and 807m ascent from Altnafeadh, Glencoe.
As the highest peak in the UK, Ben Nevis needs little introduction. At 1345m above sea-level, this famous mountain should not be underestimated but is always worth the effort! 16km (10miles) and 1400m ascent from Glen Nevis, Ben Nevis Visitor Centre.
