Voluntary Contribution Scheme

EasyWays kicks off 2018 with a commitment to increase support for sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism, we always want to encourage eco-friendly holidays.

This extremely important cause in modern, sustainable tourism needs our collective support. Therefore we are introducing a Voluntary Contribution Scheme as a gesture towards a more eco-friendly holiday!

Over the past 20 years we have all witnessed the unbelievable growth of walking holidays. To support this development, the condition of the routes requires constant attention.  The EasyWays scheme addresses this through a small, optional contribution that we will forward to the Official Route Operators at the end of each walking season.

Join us is helping the sustainable tourism cause!

Around the world every country wants their tourism industry to flourish however the number of people travelling is dramatically affecting the natural landscapes. There needs to be some level of responsibility and VisitScotland’s Sustainable Tourism has lots of information.

Voluntary Contribution Scheme

A small contribution will positively affect the condition of paths on EasyWays walks.

In 2017 EasyWays piloted the Voluntary Contribution Scheme on the Fife Coastal Path and it proved very successful! This trial was a part of Fife’s Big Green Footprint and the proceeds were passed on to the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust.   Based on this success we have decided to extend the scheme to all EasyWays UK walks with a suggested donation of £5 per person.

Fife’s Big Green Footprint Scheme

The scheme was very successful on the Fife Coastal Path in 2017.

Each year in Fife thousands of visitors come to the coast and countryside for relaxing and idyllic holidays however there is a heavy impact on our natural environment. Their scheme was created in order for visitors to give something back.   For more information see here.
